Help the kids from Totonicapán finish school

Totonicapán is a city in western Guatemala. Wakami works here with remote communities that are located far from the center the city. Because schools in this area are centralized children must walk 30 to 40 minutes to get to school and then walk back home again. Despite the distance, these 10 women who work with Wakami are determined to keep their children in school. These women have been very successful Wakami entrepreneurs and like all of the Wakami mothers, the education of their children is their highest priority. You can support 5 girls and 4 boys in this area.

The Wakami Foundation serves to support the women, children and families of our Wakami Communities. These communities are led by women who struggle against a lack of resources, a lack of opportunities and often against community prejudices against women working and owning a business.  The one thing that matters most to our Wakami women is the education of their children.  By supporting their education, you are played a critical role in improving the lives of their families and communities
